OpenStreetMap data — licence and attribution notice =================================================== This notice applies to the OpenStreetMap-derived files served from https://assets.secondkickmoto.com/ — specifically: states/{state}/{state}.pmtiles vector basemap tiles, 50 states states/{state}/{state}-roads.pmtiles low-zoom road network, 50 states states/{state}/{state}.pack routing graphs, 50 states nationwide/nationwide-overview.pmtiles and the copies of the same files, under the same names and terms, in the older v1/ and v2/ prefixes, every dated vintage ({name}.{YYYYMMDD}.{ext}) included. Since 2026-10-08 the routing graphs of the fourteen states with Bureau of Land Management routes are OpenStreetMap merged with BLM's Ground Transportation Linear Features (a US Government work, public domain): BLM routes missing from OpenStreetMap are added, and BLM's vehicle designations are attached to the OpenStreetMap ways they match. The merged files are derivative databases of OpenStreetMap; they are the files offered here, under the same ODbL terms, and ATTRIBUTION.md beside this file describes how they are made. © OpenStreetMap contributors These files contain information from OpenStreetMap, which is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0. Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0 https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/ Full licence text: https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/odbl/1-0/ OpenStreetMap copyright and licence page: https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright The individual map data contents are further available under the Database Contents License (DbCL) v1.0: https://opendatacommons.org/licenses/dbcl/1-0/ What that means for anyone using these files -------------------------------------------- The ODbL is a share-alike licence for databases. In short, and without being legal advice — read the licence itself before relying on any of this: * ATTRIBUTE. Any public use of these files, or of a work produced from them, must credit "© OpenStreetMap contributors". A visible credit on the map or in the about/credits screen of an application is the normal way to do this. * SHARE ALIKE. If you publicly use an adapted version of the database, you must offer that adapted database under the ODbL as well. * KEEP IT OPEN. You may not use technical measures that restrict others from using the database as the licence permits. The tilesets themselves also carry the attribution in their own metadata; a `pmtiles show --metadata` of any base tileset reports: © OpenStreetMap Files here that are NOT OpenStreetMap-derived --------------------------------------------- Terrain, contour and public-land tiles come from other sources with different terms — US federal public-domain data and the AWS Terrain Tiles collection. See ATTRIBUTION.md beside this file for the per-file-kind breakdown, including the attribution the terrain data's publisher requires. Provenance for every individual object — upstream, version, licence — is recorded per file in the application's own compiled-in digest manifest (`hosted-digests.json`), and the register of licences with their required attribution text is `docs/DATA-LICENCES.md` in the application's repository.
